Itinerary
Part of the municipality of Manciano, it stands on a travertine plateau at 294 masl in the hinterland of the Maremma Grossetana. The main resource is thermal tourism. It’s home to the famous Terme di Saturnia with sulphurous waters that flow at a temperature of 37.5°C and have renowned therapeutic properties.
The main thermal waterfalls are the Cascate del Mulino, located near an old mill.
The pretty village of Montemerano is located on a hill between Saturnia and Manciano. Surrounded by the Maremman countryside and protected by three walls, it has kept intact its medieval look with a splendid church, fortress, paved streets and the characteristic castle square surrounded by stone buildings.
This small town overlooks a large part of the Maremman countryside, perched on a hill, peering down on the medieval villages around it, trails in nature for every type of excursion, spaces for relaxation and interesting museums.
Known as Little Jerusalem, it is today one of the most fascinating historic villages in Italy. Perched on a tufa cliff, it offers a wonderful view of the wild and unspoiled nature of this part of the Tuscan Maremma.
Pitigliano enchants even before you arrive. The tufaceous rock supports the entire village, the houses merge with the surrounding rocks, at night the view is even more spectacular.
Part of the Muncipality of Sorano, it’s a tiny village full of medieval charm. The square with its buildings has a beautiful view.
It is a town in the municipality of Manciano, in the province of Grosseto.
The village is located in the hilly hinterland of the Grosseto Maremma, in a geographical area known as the Colline dell’Albegna and Fiora. The village stands on a hill overlooking the valley of the Fiora River, hence the toponym.
